As usual, getting new processors on tests was not easy. AMD had no senior versions, so we had to test A6-3650, equipped with four nuclei of 2.6 GHz, 4 MB L2-Kash and the Radeon HD 6530D video card. He was taken into competitors equal at the price of Intel Core i3-2100. It works with only two cores, but at a frequency of 3.1 GHz. Built -in graphics – Intel HD Graphics 2000 with six streaming processors.

The test stand for both platforms was collected with two Kingston Hyperx DDR3-1666 memory slats with a volume of 2 GB each and discrete video card Radeon HD 5870. The AMD system worked on the ASUS F1A75-V Pro motherboard, the configuration with Intel on Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3.

Friday in the forehead

The first benchmark – PCMark 05 – confirmed our fears about the weak computers of Llano. Four nuclei A6-3650 were 16% slower than two representatives of Core i3-2100. In addition, the benchmark revealed the failure of the AMD memory controller. Lost Llano and in the test 3DMark Vantage , back on 13% in the CPU column.

Render Cinebench R11.5 , optimized for multi -flow calculations, brought AMD the first victory with a gap of 3%. But in Winrar Extra cores did not help – the lag is 45%, and it is apparently to blame for this. In one -time Superpi 1.5 The newcomer lost even more – 66%. Carrowing video in Cyberlink Mediaespresso 6.5 The state of affairs did not change – the APU was again an outsider.

The situation was a little better with games. With the installed Radeon HD 5870, the newcomer significantly lags behind the competitor only in Resident Evil 5 , But in Devil May Cry 4 And Aliens vs. Predator performed almost equal.

The most interesting thing began when we removed a discrete video card from the test stand. To begin with, we note that computing blocks to the absence of a powerful fee did not respond. The difference of 1% in synthetics and applications can be attributed to the error.

But the competition of built -in graphic nuclei turned out to be exciting. In Resident Evil 5, integrated Radeon HD 6530D showed 24.6 FPS. And despite the fact that the game worked in resolution of 1680×1050 and with scheduled charts displayed at the maximum. Intel HD Graphics 2000 issued only 10.3 FPS in this test.

Similar situation with Devil May Cry 4. While Core i3-2100 reached 10.2 FPS, A6-3650 raised the bar to completely playable 29.1 frames. Compare the results on aliens vs. Predator did not work. Only the AMD nucleus, which showed 8.4 fps, can work with DX11.

As we expected, the new AMD processors were weak when working with simple applications. But Intel surpassed on the head in terms of built -in graphics. Llano is a unique device for a computer market. On these crystals, you can assemble an HTPC or entry -level gaming system. And when money appears, buy a budget video card and get an increase in FPS. How successful the concept of Fusion will be, time will tell. Now we can only say one thing: after five years, the idea has finally became a reality and really works.
